When the Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping constructed new buildings and refurbished its power supply system, Holtab ensured that modern switchgear was in place. Delivery was fast and took place in close coordination with the client, Line Assembly.
Ryhov County Hospital provides care to all the county’s residents and employs more than 3,000 people. It receives 4,000 visits a day and its many buildings are spread across a large area of the city.
COMPREHENSIVE PROJECTS
In connection with the hospital’s refurbishment, Linjemontage has been on site for almost a year. A completely new building with healthcare and educational facilities is being built, while a large part of the hospital’s current power supply is being replaced and upgraded.
When Linjemontage needed modern low voltage switchgear with full energy monitoring, they turned to Holtab.
”This is one of our largest hospital contractors ever for Linjemontage. When we’re finished, the hospital will be very reliable,” says Dennis Månsson, Project Manager at Linjemontage in Grästorp.
“EXTREMELY FAST”
Holtab has supplied a total of eight low voltage CMS switchgear. Three of them have been installed in the new building under construction. They are located in three separate rooms in the basement.
”Holtab delivers to us on site. It’s very easy to assemble, and building such a large switchgear in just a couple of weeks is extremely fast,” says Dennis Månsson.
Linjemontage, which has 12 offices in Sweden and Norway, has previous experience of working with Holtab. The relationship between the companies is close and trustworthy.
”They always answer when you call, and if we run into a problem, they send someone over quickly. The process is the same if you need an adjustment before delivery – you can just call the designer and discuss it. Simply put, it’s easy to work with.”

NEAT AND TIDY
Dennis Månsson at Linjemontage points out that Holtab is good at keeping everything in order. This applies to both scheduling and factory operations in Tingsryd.
”Holtab has very clear delivery and production schedules. When I’ve been to product tests in their factory, the place has always been clean and tidy. This applies not only to the premises where we test, but also to the entire factory site. You can see they’re under no stress – they keep everything in order throughout,” he says.
”Then of course, the price is very important. That’s how it is. We get quality at a good price,” says Dennis Månsson.

CHALLENGE

OUTCOME
We have delivered reliable switchgear that will present no hazard to staff. They have circuit breakers with communication devices that measure energy and electricity quality as well as provide warnings in the event of an earth fault, which is important in hospitals.
Those responsible receive an alert if something out of the ordinary occurs, in addition to information about operating hours and contact wear. This makes it easier to plan maintenance.
Arc guards can quickly disconnect a faulty part of a switchgear. They provide effective physical protection and also limit damage in the unlikely event of an internal failure.
