By reviewing both design and material choices, Holtab has developed a new beam system for the floors of its technical buildings. The result is a lighter, stronger and more flexible solution that simplifies installation and work inside the station.
With the EU’s new ban on SF₆ gas in switchgear coming into force in 2026, Holtab has developed a new generation of secondary substations prepared for SF₆-free switchgear. These substations have undergone rigorous safety testing with top results.

Holtab is launching an updated version of its metering cubicle for high-voltage metering at 12 and 24 kV.
“The new cubicle is not only more powerful – it is also easier to work with, thanks to a smarter design,” says Gordon Gunnarsson, Product Manager Secondary Substation and HMS switchboard at Holtab.
Holtab has now completed its first delivery of a secondary substation using a fully electrified transport solution. Our customer Eviny received the station, destined for their EV charging site in Linköping, transported 250 km by electric truck.
“Together with the haulier and the customer, we made this possible. We are all part of the energy transition,” says Holtab’s Chief Procurement Officer, Katarina Hansell.
At Holtab, we’re expanding our offering with a new type of indoor-accessible station. The technical building is a standardized product with a short delivery time.
