Long-term relationships create strong power solutions
Holtab’s new Country Manager in Finland believes in high-quality products and close collaboration.
– The right products provide the foundation, but in the long run it is strong values and the ability to work together that make the difference, says Christian Lemström.
The Finnish power market has undergone significant change in recent years. Finland previously relied on substantial electricity imports, but there is now a growing need for domestic generation and expanded infrastructure. At the same time, the transmission grid is being developed to meet future demand.
– We are facing several important investments. In addition to the growing need for capacity, the expansion of infrastructure for electric vehicles continues. At the same time, there is a need to strengthen transmission capacity between eastern and western Finland, says Christian.
Christian recently joined Holtab as Country Manager and is based in Espoo. He works closely with Johanna Hanhineva, Strategic Account Manager, based in Jakobstad.
– We have strong opportunities for growth because Holtab has the right products and the right organisation, says Christian.
People matter
Christian Lemström is an engineer by training and is used to working in environments where products and technology are in focus. At Holtab, however, he has found an additional dimension – the human side of the business. It is about caring for the surrounding community, looking after employees and maintaining a strong safety culture.
– There is a warm and personal feeling at Holtab. You can see it just by visiting our website. I enjoy working with advanced technology and have always been fascinated by high-voltage systems, but Holtab offers something more. We care about the communities around us. That is especially important now as the power market continues its transition towards renewable energy. We have the right solutions for wind and solar power, EV charging and battery energy storage.
During his long career, Christian has worked internationally, including in Egypt. Within the power industry he has held positions in both sales and project management, focusing on areas such as backup power solutions and power cable systems.
– As Country Manager for Holtab Finland, I will spend a lot of time meeting customers. I believe in direct dialogue and I look forward to meeting everyone who is looking for the power solutions of the future, he says.
