Thomas combines technical know-how with customer focus
With a strong technical foundation and a passion for customer interaction, Thomas thrives in his role as Sales Engineer at Holtab in Denmark. His work is a blend of engineering insight and relationship-building.
“What I really enjoy is combining Holtab’s technical expertise with the commercial side of working closely with customers,” says Thomas.

Based in Kolding, Thomas is part of a small but dedicated team of four colleagues covering the Danish market. He is a trained electrician and later supplemented his education with a degree in Technology Management and Marine Engineering (Maskinmester) from Aarhus Maskinmesterskole.
Before joining Holtab, he worked as a project manager, overseeing the construction of high-voltage substations primarily ranging from 60 kV and up.
Complex technology
He finds the industry both exciting and fast-moving. There’s strong momentum behind new solutions to support the ongoing energy transition, and power demands are increasing across the board.
“There are plenty of interesting challenges in customer discussions. Take one example: many clients are now requesting high-capacity solutions for charging heavy vehicles. That area is evolving rapidly,” he says.
He describes the technical side as complex – and therefore even more engaging.
“We offer genuinely interesting products.”

Always available
One thing that makes his work easier is Holtab’s solid position in the market. Their solutions are well regarded.
“That makes my job with customers relatively straightforward,” says Thomas.
The emphasis on strong relationships also applies internally at Holtab. Thomas notes that his colleagues are quick to respond and helpful when questions arise.
“People really make the effort. Even on days full of meetings and deadlines, I notice how colleagues go out of their way to be available. The deep knowledge at Holtab is always close at hand,” he concludes.
