Positive outlook for Holtab’s expansion in Norway
Holtab’s expansion into Norway is moving forward. A road trip across the country in April resulted in positive discussions with potential customers and partners.
“In addition to many valuable meetings, the timing for expanding into Norway feels absolutely right,” says Holtab CEO Michael Fohlin.

At the end of April, members of Holtab’s management team travelled across Norway to visit and meet market stakeholders, including potential customers, suppliers and partners. We shared updates from several of these meetings on our social media channels.
The aim was to listen, learn and discuss how Holtab can create the greatest possible value for Norwegian customers. We have established a Norwegian company and appointed a Country Manager, who will be introduced shortly. We have also recruited a salesperson who will join the company later this autumn.
“We are very pleased with the positive reception we received. Everyone we met during the trip was eager to engage in open discussions about developments in the Norwegian market and the needs that exist,” says CSO Lina Emanuelson.
Norway is at the forefront of the energy transition, but substantial investments are still required in the years ahead. This provides a strong foundation for our expansion.
“There are several developments taking place in the market that make this the right time for our investment,” says Michael Fohlin.

The next step
Holtab has previously delivered projects for Norwegian customers, but we are now taking the next step with a larger presence and local operations. Holtab is establishing offices both in the Østlandet region and in Bergen.
Our products, primarily secondary substations and technical buildings, are prefabricated in our Swedish factories using a modern and efficient production model. Over the past decade, Holtab has grown significantly and built up the industrial capacity required to deliver larger and more complex solutions across the Nordic region.
“At its core, our offering in Norway is the same as in our other Nordic markets. We deliver prefabricated power solutions, complemented by service and digital services. At the same time, there are certain requirements, such as standards, that are unique to the Norwegian market. However, these are challenges we have already managed successfully in other Nordic countries, and we are currently finalising the details to ensure we are ready to deliver,” says Michael Fohlin.
“Following our visit to Norway and the positive meetings we have had, we are more excited than ever. There is a strong sense of optimism within our Nordic sales organisation, and we are very much looking forward to starting our collaboration with Norwegian customers and partners in earnest,” concludes Lina Emanuelson.
