Holtab’s sustainability work is clearly linked to the three dimensions of sustainability – environmental, social and economic sustainability, as well as the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda 2030. These are our prioritised focus areas:

We strive to operate with as little environmental impact as possible and challenge ourselves to continuously improve. Our long-term climate goal is to become carbon neutral. By 2025, our ambition is to be a net electricity provider, i.e. produce at least as much electricity as we dispose of.

One of the focus areas in our sustainability work concerns employees and their well-being. We simply want to be the best workplace in the industry. Inclusion, competence and leadership are key words for increasing well-being in the company.

Our employees are the foundation of our business. It is our highest priority to ensure that everyone who works at Holtab has a healthy and safe working environment. This is also a prerequisite for retaining and attracting qualified staff. That’s why we invest in personal safety and work towards a vision zero for accidents.

At Holtab, we are convinced that our innovative strength, competence and customer focus are reinforced by diversity and equality. Over the next few years, we have chosen to focus heavily on increasing the proportion of women in the Group. By 2040, the proportion of women at Holtab shall be 40%.

This goal is about building a resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and promoting innovation. A functioning and stable infrastructure is the foundation for all successful societies.

This goal is about ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns. Our planet has provided us with an abundance of natural resources, but we humans have not used them responsibly.
